What light can I see if there is no dawn?
It was because of your perfection that to you I was drawn.
What happiness can be found when love is taken away?
Did we have enough time? Was there anything more to say?
Of our short time together, every moment I'll treasure
You will always be the One, the standard, the measure
Against which all others can never stand up next to
I will never find another who's love will be so true
You're more beautiful than the rainbow above the highest hill.
I didn't deserve you, I don't deserve you still.
But you chose me anyway, and made my life complete.
You gave birth to my children, and our house you kept neat.
Our love it was perfect. Our love, it was pure.
There will never bee another like it, of this I am sure.
While you were with me the sun always shone.
If you are to leave me I'll always feel alone.
Can I ever explain how grateful I am for you?
Do you have any idea how much I adore you?
My heart, it is broken - there's pain with each breath.
I will love you forever, even beyond death.
What will I do without you?
How will our kids do?
I feel your leaving is wrong
but I know I must remain strong.
Accept it I must.
In God I still trust.
Logic tells me I will go on.
But it will always be dark, because there is no more dawn.

Love According To Valentine
{Valentine}
To be in love, where scorn is bought with groans,
Coy looks with heart-sore sighs, one fading moment's mirth
With twenty watchful, tedious nights.
If haply won, perhaps a hapless gain;
If lost, why then a grievous labour won;
However, but a folly bought with wit,
Or else a wit by folly vanquished.
"The Two Gentlemen of Verona" 1.1 (Act I. Scene I)
My thoughts: Sometimes I feel this way.
To be in love, where scorn is bought with groans,
Coy looks with heart-sore sighs, one fading moment's mirth
With twenty watchful, tedious nights.
If haply won, perhaps a hapless gain;
If lost, why then a grievous labour won;
However, but a folly bought with wit,
Or else a wit by folly vanquished.

Favorite Shakespearean Quotes!
Since I have not been going through papers and I have not had the time or inclination to write anything good enough to post on here I thought I'd post a couple awesome quotes I found while reading Shakespeare's "The Two Gentlemen of Verona" Then I thought maybe every once and a while I'd post my favorite Will Shakespeare quotes so I thought I'd make a thing of it.
Welcome to the first installment of AgaCobra's Favorite Shakespearean Quotes!
{Valentine} ...."I rather would entreat thy company
To see the wonders of the world abroad
Than, living dully sluggardized at home,
Wear out thy youth with shapeless idleness."
{Proteus} ..."Think on thy Proteus (me) when thou haply seest
Some rare noteworthy object in thy travel."
I believe this means Val is intent on going for a trip rather than being a couch potato. Proteus (sorry, there's no way to shorten that and make it cooler) is either asking him to bring him back something or at least think of him when he sees something interesting and tell him all about it when he gets back.
I love Shakespeare!

Untitled I
So many words, so little to say.
All that real life keeps getting in the way.
Every day goes by, everything pretty much the same.
There is hardly a soul who even knows my name.
I used to be so creative,
downright contemplative.
Now there's no time to think of anything
beyond the next meal, the next question, the next "he's touching me!"
Sleep, kids, and eat,
make everything neat.
Barely enough time
to even get online ...
But everything is okay.
Life is going my way.
Though the quiet of night my mind starts to work.
I see stories and poems and characters to irk.
Someday maybe I'll have time to organize
all the stuff in my head; a whole story I'll realize,
but for now it must wait;
overshadowed by my kids and my mate.
So everything is okay,
Life is going my way.

About This Blog
I occasionally become moved (or bored) enough to write bad poetry. No one wants to read them but I feel the need to publish them somewhere. I once wrote a fictional poem so realistic that someone thought it was a true story about me and someone else who was married. It's funny because the poem was COMPLETELY fictional but I wrote it well enough that it made us all look bad. LOL!
Of course it that poem was true then I'm also a werewolf and homeless. Maybe the person who read it was just stupid
In any case 90% of what I write is completely fictional so please don't feel like it reflects on my mental and/or emotional health or my current situation. Especially since most of these have been written in the past 15 years and I'm only just now putting them online.
K?
Thanks!
